About This Section
This shelf gathers essays, reflections, and foundational documents that consider how economic life is shaped not only by markets and incentives, but by moral obligation, institutional power, and the terms by which people live together.
A central concern here is scale: what happens when systems become large enough that responsibility is dispersed, authority is obscured, and harm can be inflicted without direct intent and yet with very real consequence. These works ask how legitimacy is sustained or lost under such conditions, and what covenantal language might recover that purely procedural language often cannot.
