In an auditorium filled completely with military personnel, whether officer or enlisted or both, and the Commander-in-Chief enters the room, every one of them would stand and snap to attention. In that position, there would be absolutely no applause and no vocal acclamations. They would be showing the proper military respect for the Commander-in-Chief, the position not the person. If Trump actually made that statement, he totally misunderstood the gesture and embarrassingly disrespected every military member in his audience. Shameful!
